How do I get my brand new wii game to work?

Author: I just got super mario galaxy for wii. I put in the disc and the console recognizes it in the disc channel, but when I press start, the wii makes strange clicking noises and after 30 secs, it gives me an error message. It has done this with other games, but I cant seem to fix this one. How do I fix it?

Call Nintendo. It’s the wii disc drive and the only way to fix it is send it back for it to get fixed.!!
It sounds like your Wii is breaking if it does it on other games. Try rotating the console?
If not, you should call Nintendo.
Not sure if there is a quick fix for this, it sounds as though the disk drive may be going out on the Wii. You could try laying the wii horizontal if its vertical or vis versa but if the trouble continues with all games, Nintendo repair is your best bet.

so do other games work on your Wii?
if so, then its the disc,
so take it back to the store.
if other games don’t work, it’s the Wii’s disc reader,
so call Nintendo,
and have them fix it.
Call nintendo and they will fix it. If it is less than a year old it is covered under warrenty and they will send you a packing slip, usually through email for you to send it in. They will know when it was bought by the serial number. If it is over a year old they can still fix it but it will cost you about $82. We had to send ours in because it wasnt reading the disc and about 10 days later it came back and now works without any problems.
ok it might sound dumb but make sure you put it in the right way. You should prolly call nintendo though if you can’t get it to work.

Fill out the form and print so you could dhip it to them
they’ll either fix it or repair it for free!
