How do i connect my wii to the internet using a LAN adapter and still be able to browse the internet?

I have tried hooking up the usb to the wii and to my internet modem but then i only get internet through my wii… I am not able to search the internet on computer… Do I need an additional USB cord to connect?

    usb?

dude just go buy a wireless router, the wii has wireless conectivity

then to surf the internet on the wii you need to get the internet chanel

and if you dont want to get a wireless router, get another ethernet cable, their really cheap, its the cable that goes from the little black internet box, into your pc, you can get them at walmart or something, anyway, im guessing the box has more then ne port where you can connect an ethernet cable, connect the other cable there and run it to your wii

Unfortunately the Wii doesn’t natively support Ethernet, nor modem connection via USB.

Unless you’re able to use WiFi in your home (which the Wii can do right out of the box) then this item from Dealextreme.com will sort you out:
