How can I connect my Wii to the Internet?

I have a computer at home and want to connect my Nintendo Wii to the internet wirelessly. The access point has a green signal and it accepts the router password I typed in. But it fails the connection test every time. I get this error code: 52030 and it says it’s unable to connect to the internet. What changes do I need to make in the Wii or computer so that I can get internet in the Wii? Please give specific steps.

Make sure your password is in WPA format, not the WEP format. WEP passwords generally are 25 characters long, full of random numbers and letters. The Wii has been known to perform best by WEP password format, which is a password that you type in personally.

To change your format, you’ll need to enter 192.168.1.1 (or .2.1) into your internet browser, and then modify your wireless routers’ settings to use a different type of Encryption (WPA).

Google your router’s name and model number if the above instruction doesn’t succeed. The info I’ve given you is for the most common types of wireless routers.

    Glad to help! :D
